| Title | Blown Away |
| Abstract | Story features the massive glass sculpture being created for the Sprint Center by artist Tom Bloyd. This steel and glass piece is to be called "Spiral Ribbon" and will weigh 3,000 pounds. It was commissioned by the University of Kansas Hospital. This art work "will wrap around one of the center's support columns in the concourse on the building's south side. Lighted at night, it will be visible to drivers on I-70." Tom Bloyd is the owner of Bloyd Art Glass Studio and Gallery in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Other creators on the project include Jason Forck of Emporia, Kansas, and Drew Hine of Pittsburgh. |
