| Title | An Artist With Vision Slowly Loses His Sight |
| Abstract | Article features African American artist Robert J. Reed, Sr., of Kansas City, Kansas. "With primarily black paper and chalk as his medium, most of his work focuses on portraits of people who pop into his mind, composites of people he had seen pracically every day, many of whom are African-American. Reed also has drawn celebrities, politicians and rap artists." Now at age 71 he is losing his eyesight as a result of diabetes. This past February he had his first art show at the state Capitol in Topeka, Kansas. |
