| Title | District Walks Fine Line in Reopening an Icon |
| Abstract | The Kansas City School District is planning to open an early college school focused on math and science in the former Southwest High School building. "It will provide a college-level curriculum that will prepare students for the high and rapidly changing demands of the area's math and science-laden industries." The school will open for sixth through ninth graders in August 2008 and expand through 12th grade over the next few years. |
