TitleDistrict Walks Fine Line in Reopening an Icon
AbstractThe Kansas City School District is planning to open an early college school focused on math and science in the former Southwest High School building. "It will provide a college-level curriculum that will prepare students for the high and rapidly changing demands of the area's math and science-laden industries." The school will open for sixth through ninth graders in August 2008 and expand through 12th grade over the next few years.
