| Title | Archives Show Migration, Growth of KC Jewish Community |
| Abstract | The Jewish Community Archives of Greater Kansas City will display a special exhibit starting May 11, 2008, at the Jewish Community Campus. "The archives will present two cases showing Jewish history in the Kansas City area from the 1840s to present day. One case, housing a timeline of events, will remain on permanent display. The other will house rotating exhibits using archival materials." Included with the display will be when local synagogues and other Jewish organizations were established as well as the story of Jewish migration to Kansas City. The Jewish Community Archives is housed at the Western Historical Manuscripts Collection located in Kansas City, Missouri, on the UMKC campus. Sybil Kahn has been instrumental in the establishment of the archives. |
