Not available online
TitleInnovative New Park For the City of Independence
AbstractArticle highlights the opening of the Independence Athletic complex. "The opening is historical for two reasons: it is the largest park ever built by Independence and it was built in a most unusual place." The park is a 165-acre multifield, multi-sport park located on top of the 4.4-million-square-foot GEO Space Center, a subsurface space used for offices, warehouses and light manufacturing.
