| Abstract | John C. Dods III is featured in the "Tribute" column of the obituary section of the local newspaper. He died at the age of 74 on June 2, 2008, of cancer. Dods was a lawyer and longtime community servant. After graduating from Northeast High School and the University of Kansas, he received a law degree from the University of Kansas City law school in 1957. He joined Shook Hardy & Bacon in 1958 and worked there until his death. "Dods served as a Gladstone Municipal Court judge and an assistant Clay County prosecutor. He was president of the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law Foundation and president of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. He loved to participate in the on-air pledge drives for public radio station KCUR-FM." Includes his picture. |
