TitleA Newer, Better Arrowhead
AbstractDescription of the changes being made by HOK Sport to improve Arrowhead stadium. The $300 million renovation is designed to create "provisions for fans and premium seating so that it brings the stadium up to the caliber of new stadiums." Some of the new features include expanding the main concourses from 25 feet to 40 feet, club-level concourses enclosed and finished like a high-end hotel lobby and bar, new group seating area known as the horizon level, enhanced concessions with more food offerings, more restrooms, a Chiefs Hall of Honor, press box moved to upper level into a two-story structure at the south side at the rear of the upper deck (national broadcast media will continue to use the existing press box), a new Children's Learning Center focusing on health and nutrition "under the umbrella of sports," among others.
