TitleUrban Appreciation 101
AbstractArticle with accompanying photographs about the Southmoreland neighborhood. Southmoreland begins just east of the Plaza and is bounded by Main Street on the west, 39th Street on the north, Gillham Road on the east, and Cleaver II Boulevard on the south. The area once was home to William Rockhill Nelson, co-founder of The Kansas City Star; August Meyer, Kansas City's first park board president; and businessman Howard Vanderslice whose former residence is now part of the Kansas City Art Institute.
