| Title | A Leap-of-Faith Makeover |
| Abstract | Color pictures and description of the half-million makeover of the EBT restaurant located in the UMB Bank building off Interstate Highway 435 and State Line Road. EBT was created in memory of the former Emery, Bird, Thayer department store by R. Crosby Kemper and Richard Harman. The restaurant incorporates the carved sandstone column capitals salvaged from the original Emery, Bird, Thayer exterior, as well as wrought iron fixtures, framed stained glass, and brass elevator cages from the store. |
