AbstractProfile of legendary jazz vocalist Myra Taylor, who turns 92 years old on February 24, 2009. Taylor began her career in 1932 as a dancer and singer performing in clubs around 18th and Vine District St. She went on to become the featured vocalist for several orchestras and performed with Clarence Love, Jay McShann, Nat "King" Cole, and others. Taylor moved back to Kansas City in 1994 after nearly 30 years of touring and performing.
