AbstractArticle spotlights the career of jazz trombonist, pianist, and composer Bob Brookmeyer. In 2006, Brookmeyer received the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Jazz Masters Award--the "nation's highest honor in jazz." In addition to performing and writing, Brookmeyer has also taught music in the United States and Europe.
