| Title | Branson Airport Is Set to Fly |
| Abstract | Commercial passenger flights will begin May 11, 2009, at the new, privately financed Branson Airport. The owners purchased 925 acres in the Ozarks about eight miles south of Branson and "built a runway, control tower and 58,000-square-foot terminal in less than two years" without federal assistance. AirTran and Sun Country airlines, the two airlines flying into the airport, "will offer three nonstop flights a week" from four cities: Dallas, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Atlanta. |
