AbstractTHe opening of the new Dorothy and Herman Johnson Residence Hall on August 21, 2009, marked one step in the University of Missouri-Kansas Ciity's five-year plan to move to a more residential, rather than commuter, campus. The 320-student dormitory is the first campus building designed to meet a national environmental standard. Other construction includes expansion of the student union and library, a soccer stadium, and renovations to the medical school and dental school buildings.
