| Abstract | Obituary for Louis Meyers (Dutch) who passed away September 4, 2009. Meyers worked for KMBC TV and KCMO Channel 5 (later KCTV) and in the 1960s and '70s was president, director, and actor for the Barn Players. He also served on the board of the Johnson County Community College Foundation and was a founding board member of TLC, an organization which provides housing and other services for children in need. He was chosen as Citizen of the Year in 1975 by United Community Services of Johnson County. His wife, Jan Meyers, held positions on the City Council, the Kansas State Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives. |
