He died at the age of 70 in 1930 and started teaching at the Lincoln school in Kansas City in 1880. The obituaries are from The Kansas City Times (June 19, 1930, page 9), the Kansas City Journal-Post (June 19, 1930, page 5). The third article is about the naming of a new school as the R. T. Coles Vocational and Junior High School, from The Kansas City Times, August 11, 1936. |
