TitleLooking Back on Operation Exodus
AbstractArticle describes the period from 1990 to 1997 when the Kansas City Jewish community resettled about 1,000 Jews from the former Soviet Union. Michael Crane, a commercial photographer, spent six months chronicling the lives of the new arrivals. The Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City will commemorate the 20th anniversary of this communitywide effort--known as Operation Exodus--at its annual meeting September 2010.
