AbstractShort article about the proposed expansion of Independence's federal Truman heritage district by the National Parks Service. "The current federal district boundary includes 216 parcels, 191 of which are 'contributing,' or which help tell the Truman story. The proposed expanded district would include 567 parcels with 451 of them considered 'contributing.'" The enlarged district would take in the Independence Square.
