AbstractArticle about the career of Thomas C. Palmer (Cruise) who died March 18, 2011. Palmer, who retired in 1978, began working at The Star in 1932 as a Wyandotte High School correspondent. "He worked as a copy editor, city editor, news editor and managing editor before being named executive editor in 1967, directing the staff and supervising the content of the morning, afternoon and Sunday newspapers."
