AbstractArticle reports that Rev. Joe Haskins received his Purple Heart after waiting 58 years. Haskins fought in the Korean War and has tried to get the award from every president since 1956. Under President Obama's administration, the Veteran's Medical Center was able to obtain the medal for Haskins. Article gives accounts of Haskins war experience.
