Seeing Double

TitleSeeing Double
Extended TitleFor Dan Lowe and RED Development, courting Trader Joe's for nearly seven years resulted in not one, but two local stores.
AbstractThe two new Trader's Joe, "a California-based chain with cult-like followers," are only six miles apart. This violates one of the basic tenets of retailing of keeping a 10 to 30 mile radius between stores. The reason? The Kansas location is restricted by law and cannot sell liquor, but the Ward Parkway location can.
