| Abstract | The Honorable Andrew Jackson Higgins, native of Platte City, Missouri, died September 14, 2011. Higgins practiced law from 1948-1960 at Platte City and served three terms as Prosecuting Attorney of Platte County and one term as Mayor of Platte City. He also served as a judge of the Missouri Supreme Court from 1979 until 1991. He was the Chief Justice 1985-1987. He also received many awards throughout his long life and participated in musical venues as a clarinetist. |
