Extended TitleLike it or not, momentum is building to replace KCI's three terminals with one structure
AbstractIn-depth article discussing the pros and cons about replacing the 40-year old Kansas City International airport's three terminals with one building. Includes illustrations showing revenue passengers from 1972-2011; major improvements made to KCI since 2001 and costs; and who is using the terminals at present. "It's becoming increasingly difficult to adapt to aviation industry changes with the current configuration. In the past two years, the airport has dropped from 10 major carriers to six."
