It is the second church building that the United Methodist Church built in that location. Today the church is home to the "inderdenominational Lazarus Ministries, which provides clothing, meals, a health clinic, a library and a women's shelter to Kansas City's urban core. Many of the 200 or so worshippers at the Sunday service are homeless." Article gives some history of the building and church. |
