| Abstract | Brown's Irish Marketplace, 3300 Pennsylvania Avenue, is celebrating its 125th anniversary. The family-owned store was established in 1887 by Ed and Mary Dillion Flavin. It became Browne's market in 1915 when the Flavin's daughter Margaret married James R. Browne. The current owners, Kerry Browne and John McClain, have run the business since 1980. |
