TitleA Tug-of-War Over 'Murderabilia'
AbstractArticle on the disputed ownership of notebooks, copies of investigative files, crime scene photographs, and correspondence relating to the muder of the Clutter family in Holcomb, Kansas in 1959 that have been put up for auction. The memorabilia was collected by Harold Nye, an agent for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation who worked on the case. The KBI has reqested the notebooks and investigative documents be returned to the Bureau because they are property of the state, but Ron Nye, Harold's son, considers them personal property and believes he has a right to sell them.
