AbstractPhoto and bio of James Gibson (1849-1918), mayor of Kansas City in 1883, judge and lawyer "with offices at Missouri Avenue and Main Street," a native of Cooper County, Missouri, coming to Kansas City in 1871 and residing "at the National House at 5th and Central" Streets, then at 727 Forest Avenue, and then at 2934 Tracy Avenue, helping "to dedicate the new Central High School at 11th and Locust" Streets and the Gillis Theater.
