AbstractA transcribed license issued to Joseph Bissonette by a U.S. Indian Agent in 1851. The license is presented as a typical example of the type of documents issued to traders involved in the Western fur trade throughout the nineteenth century. The text of the license mentions that Bissonette was in business with Seth E. Ward at the time it was issued.
