AbstractArticle focuses upon remembrance of the flood that impacted the Kansas City area during the summer of 1993. Business and property owners in the affected areas are interviewed and discuss both their recollections and fear of future floods. Representatives from the Army Corps of Engineers and other river management agencies are interviewed and discuss past projects aimed at improving flood control in the area and risk factors that may lead to similar flood disasters.
