AbstractBiographical sketch of Frank Deardorff, a native of the Kansas City area taking over as president of the family lumber business in 1884, moving its location to the former Deardorff Building in 1885, then in 1892 to "the southeast corner of Eighteenth and Holmes streets, where it was conducted from 1885 to 1890." Description of his subsequent lumber yard location "between Twentieth and Vine streets, Highland avenue and the Belt Line railway," dealing "exclusively in lumber."
