AbstractPhoto and bio of Edward Everett Porterfield, Jr., or Ed Porterfield (1890-1948), a native Kansas Citian and founder of "the Porterfield Flying School at Richards Field" in 1925 and of the American Eagle Aircraft Company in 1927, manufacturing airplanes at 52nd and Prospect Avenues, 22nd and Harrison Streets, and 13th and Chestnut Avenues until moving "to Fairfax Airport at the end of 1928."
