AbstractBiographical sketch of Sidney Herbert Hare, or Herbert Hare, landscape architect and city planner with offices at 114 West 10th Street, born in Kansas City in 1888 as the son of fellow architect and sometimes partner, Sidney J. Hare, or Sid Hare. Description of Herbert's life and career, studying landscape architecture and urban planning at Harvard University before joining his father's office from 1906 to 1938 as Hare & Hare, until his father's death in 1938.
NotesThe following sites are credited with Herbert Hare in landscape architecture and urban planning: (1) Camp Funston, Kansas, in 1917; (2) city planning and parks for Kansas City, Missouri, and other Midwestern cities, (3) "a large portion of the Country Club residential district in Kansas City, since 1913; (4) "the campuses of various sch[ools], including the Univ[ersity] of Kan[sas]," etc.
