AbstractBiographical sketch of Benjamin Harrison Henthorn, or Ben Henthorn, president of the College of Commerce at 408 East 11th Street who was born in Burden, Kansas, in 1888. Description of his life and career, starting as a farmer and merchant and then newspaper editor in Kansas before arriving in Kansas City in 1918 as a salesman with the R. M. Rigby Printing Company. He also worked for the Lowell Press before establishing the Ben H. Henthorn Advertising Service which merged in 1925 into the College of Commerce.
