AbstractDescription of King's Addition, a parcel of land containing Broadway and Wyandotte Streets in Kansas City, owned by H. H. King upon his purchase of it from Chester Hubbard in 1855. Sold in earlier 1855 to Hubbard by its 1854 buyers, "Messrs. Northrup, Peery and Lykins."
NotesPage 43: "Mr. Hubbard came here from Worcester, Massachusetts, in the early summer of 1855, and soon after sold a few lots for from eighty to four hundred dollars per lot, but in September of the same year, sold to Mr. H. H. King for $200 per lot; and thereby realised a very handsome profit," then "returned to his 'fader land.'"
