AbstractPhoto and bio of George Myers, "one of the captains of industry of the west" as a telegraph executive. Born in New York City in 1855 and coming to Kansas City in 1874 "connected with various telegraph lines until they were absorbed by the Western Union Telegraph Company" and then starting his own telegraph companies and in 1890 "the Standard Fire Extinguisher Company."
