AbstractPhotos and descriptions of E. T. Allen and W. H. T. Rainford, building contractors in Kansas City. Description of Rainford as president of the Missouri Valley Cut Stone Company at Broadway and "the Belt Line Railway" since 1888. Description of Allen as a "general contractor and builder at No. 1323 Michigan Avenue" since 1878, erecting the following structures: "Smith & Keegan's warehouse, two fine residences at the corner of Ninth and Cherry streets, Major Warner's residence, the power-house for the East Fifth Street Railway, much of the structural work of the elevated railway, C. P. Deatherage's residence, Dr. Kimberlin's residence, the Tenth Street cable power-house, three car houses for the K. C. Street Railway Company, three car houses and machine shops for the Metropolitan Street Railway, the buildings in Troost Park, etc."
