AbstractBiographical sketch of Godfrey Swenson, president of the Swenson Construction Company in the Victor Building. Born in Sweden in 1876 and emigrating to Kansas City in 1896 as a stonemason, establishing his construction company in 1908.
NotesThe following buildings are listed as being constructed by the Swenson Construction Company: Westport High School (1908), Kansas City Live Stock Exchange Building (1910), the Telephone Building, the Kansas City Athletic Club building (1919), the Kansas City Club buildings, the Jackson County Courthouse, City Hall, the Scottish Rite Temple, the Kansas City Power and Light Building, the Chambers building, the Security building, the Federal building, the First National Bank Building, and the Wilder building, etc.
