Born in Canada in 1874 and becoming an architect in New York City before coming here in 1904 and designing the First National Bank, the Kansas City Life Insurance Company Building, the Live Stock Exchange Building, the New England National Bank, Saint Joseph Hospital, and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
