NotesGeorge Youmans built the following structures here: "the John Deere plow works, the Times Building, Dr. Porter's Building, corner of [6th Street] and Central streets; the Tourtellotte & Moody Building, the Cyclorama Building. ..Major Cross's Building, the Fairbanks, Morse & Co.s' [sic] warehouse. ..[and] the Southwestern News Company Building, on East [9th Street], etc."
