AbstractPhoto and bio of Herbert Woolf, president of the Woolf Brothers clothing store chain in Kansas City and a race horse breeder and owner of "Lawrin, winner of the 1938 Kentucky Derby" with rider Eddie Arcaro. Born in Kansas City in 1880 at 913 Locust Street and taking over his father's clothing store at 11th and Walnut Streets in 1913 before going on to become a world-class race horse breeder at his 200-acre Woolford farm at 82nd and Mission Roads in Johnson County, Kansas.
