AbstractPhoto and bio of Willard Winner, a railroad and real estate developer of Kansas City as "president of the Industrial Development Company." Born in Iowa in 1849 and raised in Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri before starting out as a teenage postoffice clerk. Later owner of his own real estate company and builder of "the Kansas City, Independence Park Railway, the Vine Street line, and [the beginning of] a bridge at the foot of Cherry Street" until an economic recession in 1882.
