AbstractPhoto and bio of John Prescott, a builder and former miller. Born in Iowa in 1859 and coming to Kansas City in 1898 as a miller before building "the Terminal Warehouse at Broadway and the Belt Line tracks" and managing it afterwards.
NotesPage 620: "Among the buildings of modern construction in Kansas City is the Terminal Warehouse at Broadway and the Belt Line tracks, which was the first reinforced concrete building in this part of the west and one of the first concrete warehouses in America." Page 623: "It is one of the largest warehouses in the southwest."
