Born in Leavenworth, Kansas in 1900 and serving in World War I before starting out with his grandfather's Kansas City clothing store Rothschild & Sons and later supporting President Eisenhower's candidacy and being appointed a federal official by him, with office at the Department of Commerce at 1000 Main Street and residence at 610 West Meyer Boulevard.
