DescriptionView of buildings and grounds of Kansas City Gas, Light and Coke Company; located along 3rd Street west of Troost. Construction phase of Station B. Gillis St. comes down from Troost at left to its present-day dead end at First, behind buildings. Visible at rear center are three buildings of Seddon brickworks; behind that, at left rear are large gas holders from Station A. Note also that the river has moved north from its 1867 location. This added land today is the Berkeley Riverfront Park area.
