NotesAs noted in SC30-8, penciled page 156 (Box 3, Folder 6) - "In loving memory of the author of the city's first history the red granite marker and memorial tablet was placed in Penn Valley Park, June 16th, 1918. The program of the unveiling of the marker was given a military touch, as four veterans, two in bue and two in gray stood ready to draw the beautiful flags which disclosed the marker."
