| Description | Christmas Postcard |
| Historical Article | The German post card carried the greeting, Froehliche Weihnachten, translated Joyous Christmas. It pictures St. Nicholas in a green coat, possibly because the evergreen was the symbol of survival and life. He carries a pack of toys on his back and a bundle of the traditional switches in a warm mittened hand.
The card was sent to Kansas City by someone in Germany named Johanna and was addressed in her best handwritten German script to Tante Rosa (Aunt Rosa) at 3146 Summit.
