TitleUniversity of Missouri Columbia Football
DescriptionPostcard of University of Missouri Columbia Football
Historical ArticleAn old post card of 1907 pictures the head of a pretty Gibson girl Missouri University coed on a laced-up pigskin football, with the Missouri pennant on a cane waving in the background.

The young lady's turtle-neck sweater and hairdo are similar to those of some college girls today.

A 1-cent postage stamp was used to mail the card, which was printed in black, white and gold by the Elite Post Card Company of Kansas City.

Similar cards were published for Kansas University and other area schools as well as for the large Eastern universities when the college football season opened in the fall.
