| Historical Article | Lights glow from buildings along Grand Avenue near 12th as a moon shines down on the scene in this old post card mailed from Kansas City in 1913. The street is filled with early day automobiles, street cars and shoppers.
In a two-story building on the northeast corner of the intersection the New Method Dentists had their offices on the second floor. They had the exterior of the building plastered with signs giving their cut-rate prices and describing their work.
A few doors north an Anheuser-Busch sign topped a one-story structure. Next door was the banner of Republican headquarters. Large overhead signs advertised Helmar Cigarettes and a dance hall.
The post card was mailed to Miss Lois Robinson, Fairport, Mo. The message reads: Was lucky to find just what we want in a dress for mother. I am delighted with it in every respect. Needs a little alteration, which I will do. I know you will like it. Gertie.
