Within the Kansas City arrangement is a separate category for Jenkins Music Company and for Charles Johnson. Local composers besides Charles Johnson include Scott Joplin, Carl Hoffman, Charles N. Daniels, and others. The type of music includes traditional music of the time period with emphasis on ragtime selections. The bulk of the music is published but there are some original, handwritten compositions. Also included are songs about Kansas City as well as sheet music covers with illustrations depicting Kansas City.
