Use of Images

You are welcome to download and use these images for personal, educational, and commercial projects at no cost. While there is no fee to use our downloadable images, we ask that you submit a brief usage report (opens in new window) describing how the images were used. This information helps us better understand and demonstrate the impact of our collections.

Custom Scanning and Other Requests

If you require a custom scan or an uncompressed file, please submit a Custom Scanning Request Form (opens in new window). Completed files will be delivered electronically through a file-sharing service or transferred to a CD and mailed for a small fee. Please allow 3–5 business days for requests to be fulfilled.

Custom scans are available for a fee of $10 per scan for individuals and nonprofit organizations and $25 per scan for commercial, for-profit entities. Payment must be made by credit card through the Library’s online payment portal.
